The workshop opened in 1947 when Kjell Hansen returned from apprenticing in London and Copenhagen. He brought back techniques, patterns, and a conviction that Norwegian tailoring could match anything being produced elsewhere.
His daughter Ingrid took over in 1979, expanding the services to include women's tailoring and wedding dress creation. She introduced the first computer-aided pattern system to Norway in 1992, though she still preferred hand-cutting for complex projects.
Today, her son Magnus runs the atelier with the same principles that guided his grandfather: measure carefully, cut precisely, finish invisibly.
